Police have picked up a body of a man aged between 25 and 30 years in Chilangas’ Shantumbu Mountains believed to have been stoned to death.

 

Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Charity Munganga-Chanda said the body of the deceased was found on Sunday 2nd June 2012 around 10:00 hours by residents of the area.

Ms. Chanda said the deceased who is suspected to have been murdered was found tied with an electric wire with his head crushed and covered with stones.

 

“The body of the deceased is lying in UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem and identification.

 

We are appealing to members of the public who are missing a male relative to report to the nearest police or UTH police post.” The Police Deputy Public Relations Officer said in a statement.
